Gift meal boxes to the pilgrims, the honored guests of Allah, in the holy city of Makkah.
During these blessed days of Dhul Hijjah, millions of pilgrims from every corner of the world have arrived in Makkah for the Hajj. Many have saved their entire lives for this one journey. Many will never return. Some have come with very little.
In the spirit of serving the guests of Ar-Rahman, the IGP community is gifting meal boxes for pilgrims, adding our names to those who are already taking care of pilgrims all the time.
There are restaurants around the Haram that operate as food distribution hubs for pilgrims. They run on a sponsorship model. Muslims around the world sponsor meals in advance, and pilgrims walk in, eat, and are never charged or questioned.
This system is a continuation of an old tradition. The same model that lived inside the zawiyah and khanqah systems of the Ummah for centuries, particularly in Mughal and Ottoman societies, where the doors of these institutions were open to every traveler and seeker who passed through.
We are latching ourselves into that history, in the hope of being among those who serve the guests of Allah in these greatest days of the year.
May Allah accept it from you and gather you among those who serve His guests.
